Now that we’re sprung forward and daylight saving time has started once again, it’s time to take advantage of that extra hour of daylight every day! This week, night market season kicks off with the first Vegan Night Market of the year, as well as a cherry blossom-themed food fest to get the spring vibes started. Vegan Night Market 

It’s almost that time of year again! Peaces’ Vegan Night Market kicks off on March 12, 2025, with monthly markets at the Waldorf Hotel to come. The beloved plant-based, pet-friendly market is one of the largest of its kind in Canada, if not the largest. Expect delicious food and drinks that are 100% plant-based, and a mix of cruelty-free fashion and local beauty products to peruse. Oh, and live music to get the party going!

Vancouver Cherry Blossom Food Festival  

The second annual Vancouver Cherry Blossom Food Festival will bring spring lovers together on a self-guided journey to over 20 participating vendors in Metro Vancouver with cherry blossom-themed treats, including Beaucoup Bakery, Mister Artisan Ice Cream, and Daan Go Cake Lab Cream, to name a few.

So whether you’re planning a cute spring date, going on a food crawl, or just want to support a local business near the end of the month, this is a great reason to do it all.

Vancouver International Dance Festival

I Saw You at the Improv Centre

The Improv Centre has a new show to check out on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. until March 26, 2025! Based on hopeful letters of potential loves and meet-cutes out in public, I Saw You explores close calls, chance encounters, and stories of hopeful romantics, inspired by audience participation.

CityScape Date Night with Emma Fish 

Each month, artist and outdoor enthusiasts Emma Fish hosts a CityScape Date Night exploring a range of artistic mediums, from acrylics to Gelli printing, to upcycling. Recently, the series has expanded to include exciting workshops like found object art, memory box creation, and more.

The next workshop is on Thursday, March 13, at $45 per person.

It’s not too late to check out the Museum of Anthropology’s multimedia exhibition (and world premiere of), To Be Seen, To Be Heard, which tells the stories of First Nations communities across BC during the period of “potlatch prohibition” and other forms of erasure in Canada.
