Every spring, Vancouver transforms into a beautiful sea of pink, and the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival returns to celebrate the most vibrant time of year. Kicking off this week, festival-goers can check out a Yaletown pop-up at Bill Curtis Square on Wednesday, March 26 and Blossoms After Dark starting Friday, March 28.

Franz Ferdinand

For three electrifying days, the Let’s Hear Iat Live Juno Block Party is taking over šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square in front of the art gallery with a range of free performances by local artists, Juno-nominees, and a diverse variety of emerging Canadian talent.

There will also be a vibrant night market from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on each day of the block party, with tasty food and local vendors galore.

The Chefs’ Table Society of B.C. and the Mount Pleasant BIA are hosting the 11th annual Curry Cup at Heritage Hall this week, and curry lovers won’t want to miss it. Vancouver’s top chefs will compete from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. to create the winning bowl of curry, inspired by cuisines from around the globe.

Experience the passion, drama, and breathtaking music of Manon, Jules Massenet’s iconic French Romantic opera, which kicks off this Friday.
