It’s officially fall, and in Vancouver, that means the leaves are starting to turn, corn mazes are becoming spookier, and the Vancouver International Film Fest kicks off. So with that in mind, here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this week (September 23-17).

Vancouver International Film Festival

This year’s Vancouver International Film Fest will feature over 350 movies from across the globe as well as dozens of live speaker events by acclaimed directors and film industry professionals that you won’t want to miss, and it all kicks off this Thursday, September 26th!

Scariest Corn Maze in Canada at Maan Farms

Guests will have three chilling attractions to choose from: The Kept Slaughterhouse, Forsaken: The Way Down, and Echo: Homestead – each promising “unforgettable terror” to all who enter. The question is, are you brave enough to enter?!

Battle of the Brush 44

The Pipe Shop is hosting a live painting competition this week that artists and art enthusiasts won’t want to miss! Artists compete in a time-limited competition before their spontaneous collective works are displayed and voted on by attendees.

Junction Public Market 

Vancouver’s newest public marketplace features a mix of rotating food trucks, artisan vendors, and live entertainment. Oh, and refreshing sips from the market’s ‘Sipping Container!
