It’s the best long weekend of the year — Canadian Thanksgiving. Yep, it’s that wonderful time of year where we take long naps, enjoy the cool air and bright colours outside, and eat as much as humanly possible. No plans? We can change that. Here are 10 things to do this long weekend in Toronto.

Pumpkin Fest is back this weekend!

Head over to Downsview Park for Halloween fun, rides, and yummy food.

Canada’s Wonderland still has its Halloween Haunt running all weekend, and it’s the perfect time to go with the weather still *slightly* warm.

The NBA preseason is underway, and on Friday, the Raptors are at home hosting the Boston Celtics.

The third annual Festival of Lights will illuminate Nathan Phillips Square on Saturday and Sunday.

Old Mill Toronto’s Thanksgiving buffet is back for 2025!

For $85, you can enjoy an all-you-can-eat feast featuring classic turkey, sides, desserts and more.

When: Saturday, Oct. 11 and Sunday, Oct. 12
Time: 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. (last seating at 7:30)
Where: Old Mill Toronto – 21 Old Mill Rd.
Cost: $85 per person

Get a good laugh this weekend — Adam Sandler is sure to do the trick.

The actor/comedian will be performing in Toronto, and tickets are still available.

Another Thanksgiving Buffet, but this one has a Japanese twist.

According to Miku, “The buffet will include a premium raw bar with chef-selected sashimi, seared tuna tataki with truffle ponzu, and shrimp cocktail with yuzu cocktail sauce; an extensive sushi station with Aburi Oshi, nigiri, and maki; and kitchen highlights such as prime rib carving, roast turkey with sage apple stuffing, make-your-own ramen, chicken karaage, Atlantic miso yaki, and panko-breaded oysters.”
