This Monday we’re welcoming the first full week of fall, but that doesn’t mean that things are quieting down! Edmonton Comedy Festival

Enjoy four full days of funny at venues around the city during the Edmonton Comedy Festival! The festival will feature comedians from across North America performing on stages throughout Edmonton.

Edmonton International Film Festival

The 38th Edmonton International Film Festival (EIFF) returns with 10 days of exciting events. You can expect filmmaker chats, Q&A’s, gala screenings, a local filmmaker spotlight, ‘buzzy’ films that are travelling the festival circuit, shorts with lunch, and more.

Oktoberfest

Canada’s largest Oktoberfest celebration is taking over Fan Park @ ICE District and you still have another week to check it out! Immerse yourself in the rich Bavarian tradition of Oktoberfest – right here in Edmonton! Gateway to the Stars

One of the more serene things to do around Edmonton this week, if you don’t mind a drive. Elk Island National Park is hosting an introductory stargazing program led by an expert park interpreter. Learn to use a star chart, navigate by constellations, and listen to rich cultural stories around a cozy campfire.

A Streetcar Named Desire

Presented by Theatre Calgary, this show is a classic tale that follows Blanche DuBois as she flees to her sister’s New Orleans home, only to face an unravelling thread of illusions and harsh truths. It opens at the Citadel Theatre this Saturday, with ticket prices varying by seat.

Edmonton Corn Maze

You can’t have fall without a corn maze, and thankful this icon is back for the season! Head down and (literally) lose yourself in acres of corn. Don’t worry, they’ll find you… eventually.

Old Strathcona Ghost Tours

Take a ghostly walk through Old Strathcona, and maybe even spot an apparition or two! The tour stops in front of the Strathcona Hotel, the Princess Theatre, the Strathcona High School and many other buildings, houses, and shops that have reported ghosts, hauntings, murders, and mysteries.

Pumpkin Patch

Take a stroll through the charming pumpkin patch at Prarie Gardens! Enjoy additional activities like a corn maze, sunflower maze, train rides, scarecrow making, and more family-friendly activities. They have dates throughout the fall but you need to reserve your timeslot ahead of time. You also save $5 when you buy your tickets online!
