Another week bites the dust, and the first of fall is nearly upon us! While we might not be frolicking in multi-colored leaves just yet, there’s still plenty to get up to in the city. From dazzling sunflower fields to fantasy festivals that might just make you believe in magic, here are the best things to do in and around Seattle this weekend.

SIFF’s biggest fundraising event of the year is the 3rd Annual Marquee Gala and it’s happening this Friday. Proceeds from the Marquee Gala fund SIFF’s year-round programming, educational programs, and the 51st Annual Seattle International Film Festival.

Georgetown Morgue

Start your Halloween early with one of the spookiest things to do in Seattle this weekend. This fan-favorite Haunted House is located at the Georgetown Morgue, and it’s back for another year! it’s considered to be one of the city’s premier haunted attractions, and we’re getting chills just writing about it!

Fremont Oktoberfest 2024

Fremont Oktoberfest is back for a weekend of craft beer, delicious food, lively entertainment, and Bavarian charm. You can expect over 100 craft beers, German beers, cider and more. And on Sunday, dogs are welcome to join this event!

Realms Unknown Fantasy Festival

This is probably one of the most unique things to do in Seattle this weekend. The Realms Unknown Festival is a 3-day, all genre fantasy festival with camping, nestled on 50 acres of lush greens in Woodland at the Lewis River Golf Course. Dress up (or don’t) and enjoy this interactive event with activities and unique entertainment for all ages!

Washington State Fair

You can’t go wrong with a classic American state fair, and this one is probably the biggest fair of the year! Check out farm animals, rides, live performances, and a hearty dose of fair food. What better season than fall?

ChuSeok Korean Festival

Derived from the Korean words for “autumn eve,” ChuSeok is a time-honored harvest festival observed globally, it is also considered to be Korean Thanksgiving. This Saturday, the 4th annual Korean ChuSeok Festival will be hosted at Gig Harbor by the Asia Pacific Cultural Center (APCC). Stop by for amazing food and cultural experiences.

CID Night Market

After being canceled in 2023, the CID Night Market is finally back! This free, all-ages street festival is hosted in the middle of Seattle’s Chinatown-International District neighborhood. Wander through street vendors, stop by food trucks, and enjoy some stunning cultural performances.

Luminata

The Fremont Arts Council celebrates the autumnal equinox with this sweet and illuminating lantern procession around Green Lake. The procession starts at 7:30 PM and there is a lantern shop on-site if you want to join in. At the end of the parade, some illuminated art will be on display for your enjoyment, and photos!

Sunflower Fields at Stocker Farms

Head to Stocker Farms for their fall festival weekend! Take insta-worthy photos for your feed among dozens of varieties and colors of sunflowers. You can also enjoy the corn maze, a pick-your-own pumpkin patch along with special weekend attractions like hay rides, candy cannon, and a pumpkin cannon!

Fall Cider & Cheese Festival

What could be tastier? Celebrate (by eating) Washington-made ciders and curated cheeses this Sunday. There will be five local cider makers pouring their fall favorites in the covered outdoor street cafe. Meet the makers, sample a variety of ciders, and take home a bottle or two. There will be three sessions: 12 PM- 2 PM, 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM, and from 3 – 5 PM.

Titanic Exhibition

Marvel at original artifacts and personal belongings that tell touching stories of the ship’s passengers and crew. You can even walk through recreated first-class and third-class rooms as they would have looked aboard the Titanic. Your ticket includes an audio guide with stories, period music, and sound effects.
