2 Regina residents arrested after theft, assault at Albert Street business – Regina

Two Regina residents have been charged with theft and assault after police said a woman and girl tried to leave a store with unpaid goods.

Regina police arrived at a store on the 900 block of Albert Street on Sunday afternoon and charged a 17-year-old girl and a 40-year-old woman who resisted arrest.

A woman threatened an employee with a knife, brandished a needle, and a girl assaulted an employee, police said.

The girl and her woman, 40-year-old Jana Sayer-Desjarlais, were charged with assault and theft-related charges. They are scheduled to appear in court on March 30.
