After a thoroughly discouraging few weeks for Xbox, there’s finally a glimmer of good news for fans of Team Green. At long last, one of 2025’s most talked-about indie games, Dispatch, is coming to Xbox. The superhero workplace comedy arrives on Microsoft’s consoles on July 29.
The game is available to wishlist now on the Xbox Store.
Developed and published by indie studio AdHoc, Dispatch is an eight-episode adventure game where you step into the role of Robert Robertson III, a down-on-his-luck former superhero. Robert takes a job working as a dispatcher for villains-turned-superheroes after his signature mecha suit is destroyed in battle. It’s the debut game from AdHoc, which was founded by former Telltale Games developers. That means you can expect some engrossing choice-based storytelling, charismatic characters, and snappy dialogue. We enjoyed Dispatch‘s tight pacing and rebuttal of modern superhero clichés so much that we named it one of our best games of 2025.
The starry cast of Dispatch includes Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad, BoJack Horseman), Jeffrey Wright (No Time to Die, The Batman), Laura Bailey (Critical Role, The Last of Us Part 2), Travis Willingham (Critical Role, Marvel’s Avengers), Seán McLoughlin (known on YouTube as Jacksepticeye), Matthew Mercer (Critical Role, Attack on Titan), and Alanah Pearce (Cyberpunk 2077, V/H/S Beyond). A big chunk of that cast will be taking part in a panel at San Diego Comic-Con on July 24, called “Dispatch: Off the Clock with the Z-Team.”
AdHoc is also rolling out new localization options to play Dispatch in LATAM Spanish, Turkish, Thai, Polish and Ukrainian. The new language options will Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC starting July 15, and on Xbox consoles on July 29.
