I was thrilled to try the Cookie Shot invented by Dominique Ansel at his bakery a few years ago in Los Angeles. It’s a freshly-baked chocolate chip cookie cup filled with vanilla milk, and it’s seriously delicious—yes, it’s worth the 15-minute wait. Since we all can’t get to Dominique’s NY and LA bakeries, we’ve hacked the concept so you can sip (then chomp) edible cookie cups at home.
How To Make Cookie Shot Glasses
The trick to a perfect cookie shot glass is to make it thick and coat the inside with chocolate. This makes it sturdy, so that it can easily be refilled multiple times before becoming soggy. You must make the bottom of the shot glass cookie thick, so that the beverage doesn’t seep out. Filling your glass with a chocolate coating makes a big difference. If not, the cookie will disintegrate the longer the drink sits in the cookie, so it’s best to serve the cookie from frozen and drink it soon after pouring.

After downing one of these, it’s probably be the most full you’ll ever be from a “shot,” since you not only get a drink, but a delicious treat with it, too! These cookie shots can also be decorated for any holiday—try topping them with toasted marshmallows and red, white, and green candies for Christmas, or colorful pastel sprinkles for Easter.
