Get ready foodies — Metropolis at Metrotown’s Summer Market at the Met is back for its second year running.

Taking place from July 3 to July 6, the market is set to showcase 15 food vendors, offering a range of culinary delights from around the world.

You can also expect live music and thrilling performances — from dazzling fire shows to mesmerizing juggling acts — and family-friendly activities like balloon art, face painting, and caricature drawing.

Guests will also get to enjoy SMASH!, an electrifying fusion of music, theatre, and street percussion that sees performers transform everyday items into instruments. Visitors can even snap some photos to remember the day via a Roaming Selfie Ring Photo Booth, which has built-in ring light and instantly transfers your photo to your phone.

The best part? The market is totally free to enter— so come for the food and stay for the vibes!

Here are just some of the food vendors we can’t wait to check out!

Cake It Easy

Cake It Easy is a beloved Vancouver bakery specializing in Filipino-inspired cakes and desserts. Known for its vibrant and flavourful offerings, the bakery has gained a loyal following since the launch of its first shop on Nanaimo St. in 2023.

They’ll be offering up some of their signature treats including Mini Ube Flan, Ube cookies, Ube crème brûlée, and Ube cheesecake brownies.

Wakwak Burgers

Wakwak is known for its unique burgers that combine Japanese flavours with classic Canadian food — a thoughtful mix of Japanese-style toppings, seasonings, and spices on a perfectly grilled patty.

They’ll be dishing out some exclusive offerings for Summer Market at the Met, including the Deluxe teriyaki burger, Namban burger, and Wakwak Sliders — all of which will be served with fries. You can customize your burger by choosing your protein, from beef with teriyaki sauce and okonomi sauce, or chicken with toriten sauce and Nanban sauce.

Chaiwagon

Chaiwagon will be pouring its famous authentic Indian Chai, and offering a range of sweet treats that pair perfectly with the tea.

They’ll also have some classic Indian comfort foods, like samosas, chickpea curry and butter chicken rice bowls, and chicken biryani.

Butcher’s Block BBQ

Butcher’s Block is a family owned business that’s been serving Southern Texas style BBQ to the Lower Mainland for over 25 years. All of their meats are locally-sourced and seasoned with delicious in-house-made rubs and barbecue sauces.

Create your own BBQ plate by choosing from Smoked St Louis Side Ribs, Hickory Smoked Beef Brisket, Smoker Pulled Pork, Vinegar Slaw, Cornbread, and Smoked BBQ Belly Mac. A feast fit for a king!

Tochi Desserts Ltd.

Got a sweet tooth? You won’t want to miss the Hong Kong-style mini mochi French toast with ice cream at Tochi Desserts Ltd.

You can even build your own — pick your size and choose from flavours like cinnamon sugar, Nutella, matcha, taro, and coconut.

Other food vendors at the event include Crema Ice Cream Inc., Bak’d, Authentic Vietnamese Spring Rolls and Catering, JAPADOG, Sabrosito, Mommy’s Planet, Gary’s Kettle Corn, T&T, Hello! Tanghulu, and Typhoon Bbt Cafe.

Mark your calendars for this can’t-miss event and bon appétit, Vancouver!
