’90s sitcom star enters political ring in L.A.

Washington –

Ben Savage, who starred in the 1990s sitcom Boy Meets World, is running for the US Congress in the Los Angeles area to fill the seat currently vacant by Congressman Adam Schiff, who is currently running for Senate.

In an Instagram post announcing his campaign, the 42-year-old Savage said, “I am running for Congress with rational, innovative and compassionate solutions to some of our country’s most pressing problems. “It’s time to restore trust in government by providing policy.”

Savage graduated from Stanford University with a degree in political science.

Savage’s campaign website highlights his long history of union membership and that, if he is elected, his priorities will be public safety, affordable housing and the protection of organized workers. will be improved.

California’s 30th District, which includes northern Los Angeles, is strongly Democratic. In November’s midterm elections, Schiff won 71% of the vote against his fellow Democrats, thanks to California’s open primary system.
