IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of Crowne Plaza Budva in Montenegro, with the hotel expected to open in the first quarter of 2026.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement to open a Crowne Plaza hotel in Budva, Montenegro. The new property is set to open in the first quarter of 2026 and will be located on the Slovenska obala promenade, approximately 70 meters from the sea. The hotel will feature 81 rooms and is situated in a prime tourist area, near Budva’s Old Town and City Marina.
The Crowne Plaza Budva will be part of IHG’s expansion in the Balkans, where the company currently operates 12 hotels across Bulgaria, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia, with an additional 10 properties in development. In Montenegro, the new hotel will join four existing IHG properties, including Regent Porto Montenegro and Crowne Plaza Podgorica.
The hotel will offer a range of facilities, including modern meeting spaces designed for various events, from small seminars to larger conferences. These spaces will be equipped with the latest technology to support business needs. Additionally, the hotel will feature a destination restaurant with sea views and a terrace known for its social appeal along Budva’s promenade.
IHG’s decision to expand in Budva aligns with the city’s growing status as a tourism hub on the Adriatic coast.
This development is part of IHG’s broader strategy to increase its presence in the Balkans, with over 20 hotels either open or in the pipeline across the region.
