Toronto’s shopping scene is about to get a significant upgrade.

Scarborough Town Centre (STC) is set to receive a new addition this August with the arrival of a massive Winners store.

A spokesperson for STC confirmed to Narcity that the location will officially open its doors on Monday, August 18, at 8 a.m.
Situated on the upper level near the TTC station entrance (Entrance 4), the store will occupy approximately 40,000 square feet.

It’s expected to carry a wide selection of clothing, footwear, beauty items and more at discounted prices, in line with what most shoppers have come to expect from the retailer.

The opening coincides with the busy back-to-school shopping season and the early lead-up to fall, likely drawing in both everyday mall-goers and deal-seekers in the area.

Scarborough has multiple Winners locations already, but this new store is expected to serve as a larger, more centralized option for the east end of Toronto. It’s also part of a broader trend at STC, where the retail mix has been evolving through the addition of new brands, dining spots, and redevelopment projects over the last several years.

There’s been no word yet on whether there will be any special promotions tied to opening day. However, past store launches have drawn decent crowds, especially in the early hours of the day. Those interested in browsing early arrivals should plan a visit in the morning.

For transit users, the store will be easily accessible via Scarborough Centre Station. For drivers, the STC can be accessed right off Highway 401.

Winners joins a growing list of retailers expanding or relocating to Scarborough, and its arrival is likely to bring even more foot traffic to the busy mall in the weeks ahead.
