Can you believe that tulip season is nearly here? Greendale Acres in Chilliwack is one of many beloved local farms that are soon transforming for the vibrant season ahead.
This means visitors will be able to wade through acres of gorgeous tulips and golden daffodils, with thousands of flowers creating a sea of colour and fragrance.
In addition to a lush tulip and daffodil garden, there will be a Dutch-inspired tulip river and an oversized heart-shaped installation (the Tulip Pyramid) standing at the centre of the vivid blooms.
Returning spring events
Now in its 104th year, the Chilliwack Plowing Match brings families together for an old-fashioned plowing race, celebrating the region’s rich farming tradition. The iconic match takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, and visitors can fuel up for the day with a by-donation Pancake Breakfast at 9 a.m.
Other farm activities include Hay Wagon Rides, Antique Tractor Displays, Blacksmith & Farrier Demonstrations, an interactive Learn-to-Plow station, and live music from the Petersen Duo from 1 to 4 p.m.
The next day, on April 12, 2026, Greendale hosts a Tractor Day with guests of all ages invited to enjoy an impressive display of farm machinery up close.
Tickets for these two events are priced from $12 to $16 per person.
For Easter, Greendale Acres is bringing back one of its most popular events: the annual Easter Egg Hunt. Taking place rain or shine, the iconic activity takes place across the farm from March 27 to 29, 2026, and again on the Easter Long Weekend from April 2 to 5, 2026.
On both weekends, children can roam the farm’s apple orchard and take part in the hunt for eggs, receiving a teddy prize for their efforts. Other fun activities to check out during your visit include face painting, baby animal visits, a spring-themed scavenger hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny, and a race through Greendale’s interactive Easter Bunny Adventure Course.
You don’t have to be a kid to enjoy a scenic train ride through the farm or capture early spring memories at one of many photo displays.
There are also food and drink features and rentable fire pits to enjoy if you want to make a day of it.
U-pick flowers
If you love spring blooms as much as we do, you’ll be happy to learn that u-pick tulips and daffodils will be available while supplies last. So mark your calendars for March 27, 2026, because that’s the first day you can wander the blooming fields this year!
How much does admission cost?
Tickets for the rain-or-shine events are available online and at the gate and include access to the full complement of Greendale attractions, animal displays, spectator viewing areas, scenic rides around the farm on a tractor wagon and the Greendale Express train, and more.
