Beauty meets Disney nostalgia in anotherColourpop collaboration.
This time, the makeup brand is diving under the sea with a special-edition collection inspired by The Little Mermaid. It’s a colorful tribute to one of Disney’s most beloved stories.
The collection draws directly from the film’s iconic characters and themes, capturing Ariel’s sense of curiosity and transformation, Ursula’s bold, dramatic flair and the shimmering palette of the ocean itself. Think soft pastels, deep sea blues and iridescent finishes designed to reflect the contrast between life above and below the water.
Among the standout pieces is the “Under the Sea” eyeshadow palette, which blends romantic pinks with vibrant aquatic tones. The collection also introduces new multichrome highlighters inspired by Sebastian and Flounder, designed to shift color in the light for a mermaid-scale effect, along with a glossy lip oil meant to mimic the reflective sheen of water.
Fans of the film will also notice playful nods throughout, from Ursula-inspired lip shades to keepsake-worthy packaging that leans into seashells and ocean motifs.
While Disney collaborations are nothing new in the beauty world, this one taps into the enduring legacy of The Little Mermaid, which has remained a cultural touchstone for decades thanks to its music, characters and coming-of-age story.
The collection will roll out in phases, launching on March 26 via ColourPop’s website and expanding to additional retailers in early April. Colourpop also has various other Disney collaborations including Alice in Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh, Beauty and the Beast, Toy Story, Lilo and Stitch, a Haunted Mansion collection, and a princess collection spanning everyone’s favorite princesses.
