Staycation, anyone? Just steps from Toronto’s Union Station at 60 York St., a brand-new hotel has opened its doors. Union Hotel, an independent lifestyle hotel, boasts 189 rooms along 12 floors and has some must-see local touches.
According to Union Hotel, its “design is a testament to the tapestry of Toronto.” Each room features original artwork, and, thanks to a partnership with the Giller Prize, Canadian literature is a part of every stay.
The rooms also have a “UH Marketplace,” which replaces the traditional minibar, allowing guests to choose from a rotating selection of local snacks, drinks, and merchandise.
“Union Hotel is more than just a place to stay; it’s a place to connect,” shares Kevin Slean, general manager of Union Hotel. “Our mission is to inspire ambition, nurture courage, and empower our guests to defy convention while discovering the local neighbourhood gems this global city offers.”
Throughout the building are all the amenities you’ll need, including:
- Complimentary Wi-Fi
- Pet-friendly spaces
- Guest dry cleaning
- 24-hour front desk
- Guest experience team
- Fitness centre
- Collection of Canadian artwork
- Intimate meeting space with courtyard access
Don’t forget to check out Humble Donkey, the hotel’s café and lounge. This vibrant space serves coffee from Toronto’s Sam James Coffee Bar by day and cocktails during the evening.
Rooms can be booked now, starting at $212 per night.
A convenient location, beautiful interiors, and amazing amenities. Need I say more, Toronto?
