Calling all witches, ghouls, and fans of the cult-classic film Practical Magic. There’s a very special Halloween festival coming to historic Coupeville – and you don’t want to miss it!
Stop by and visit the Coupeville waterfront and see its transformation into the spellbinding town straight out of the movie! There will be film screenings, a parade, a beer garden, and tons of autumnal charm.

What to expect
Visit the filming location of the iconic 90s movie Practical Magic. It’s witchy, nostalgic, and everything you could want out of a Halloween festival. The historic town of Coupeville comes alive with themed events running all weekend, from Thursday, October 24th to Sunday, October 27th, 2024.

Practically Magic Movie Night (21+)
When: Thursday, October 24th, Friday, October 25th, and Saturday, October 26th
Time: 6:00 PM 10:00 PM
Where: Coupeville Rec Hall, 901 Northwest Alexander Street
There will be three evening movie screenings of Practical Magic, so you can see exactly how the town was represented on screen! This is a 21+ event with margaritas, beer, and wine available for purchase, so make sure you bring your ID!
Spells and Brews Garden
When: Saturday, October 26th
Time: 3:00 – 7:00 PM
Where: 905 N Main St
Step into the Spells and Brews Garden in the heart of Coupeville’s historic district. Nestled next to the historic Haller House in the Johnson Lot this witchy retreat is the perfect spot to watch the parade while unwinding with a brew.
Practically Magic Torchlight Parade and Street Dance
When: Saturday, October 26th
Time: 5:00 PM 7:00 PM
Where: Cooks Corner Park, NE 9th St
The Torchlight Parade and Street Dance is a family-friendly event and one of the best ways to experience everything the spooky season offers in Coupeville.
Practically Magic Pumpkin Race
When: Sunday, October 27th

Where: Town Park, Front St NW
The Great Coupeville Pumpkin Race is the high-energy grand finale of Practically Magic. Come together with locals and visitors alike for an afternoon of fun, friendly competition, and Halloween flair.
