The Toronto Police Service have arrested and charged a restaurant owner after he allegedly installed a hidden camera in the establishment’s public washroom.
In a press release shared with Narcity on Monday afternoon, Toronto police revealed that they arrested the owner of Yomie’s Rice X Yogurt, located at 4188 Finch Ave. E., Scarborough, on Sunday, April 20.

It is alleged that in October 2024, the restaurant owner installed a hidden video camera inside a washroom. In November, a customer discovered it, and police were informed.
After a police investigation, Zehan Xu, 25, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with two counts of voyeurism.
He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Armoury St., on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
Police believe there may be additional victims who attended the restaurant between October and November 2024 and may have been recorded without their knowledge or consent.
Anyone who used the restroom at Yomie’s Rice X Yogurt during that time period is encouraged to contact the police.
