Every year, Dancing with the Stars takes its show on the road, bringing a live tour from city to city featuring all your favourite pros. However, Toronto has sadly been left off the tour schedule since 2009, meaning fans in the city have had to resign themselves to enjoying the show on the small screen only. But that all changes next year. Dancing with the Stars: Live is coming to Toronto!
The North American arena tour will stop in 60 cities, including Toronto on Jan. 24. Since it’s been decades since we’ve gotten to enjoy the live tour, here’s a refresher of what fans can expect: there will be 11 pros going on tour, including Brandon Armstrong, Rylee Arnold, Alan Bersten, Hailey Bills, Sharna Burgess, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Jenna Johnson, Emma Slater, Ezra Sosa, Adele Zaikman and Britt Stewart. And for the first time, the Dancing with the Stars troupe, including Kamri Peterson, Onye Stevenson, Jaxon Willard and Carter Williams, will join the tour.
Another highlight of the tour: there will be an Emmy Award-winning choreographer behind it! Mandy Moore (no, not that one) choreographed La La Land and Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, and she’ll be directing the Dancing with the Stars: Live tour.
If you’re planning on grabbing tickets to the Toronto show, you have time to prepare: tickets go on sale on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. The Mirrorball Presale begins on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 10 a.m., but you need to sign up online in advance to get the access code.
