A more visual, dynamic design showcases the breadth of our lifestyle and culture offerings.Supplied
Dear readers,
We’re excited to share a fresh new look for our Life, Style and Culture sections on globeandmail.com and our app. They’ve been redesigned to be highly visual, more dynamic and built for journalism that reflects the world around us. It’s all part of a larger refresh of The Globe’s digital platforms. You’ll see much more in the coming weeks and months.
Life looks at how we live now, covering a wide range of topics including wellness, generational shifts and the trends that define our times. Style dives into our passions – fashion, beauty, food, drink, design and travel – with a sharper focus and a new dedicated digital home for The Globe’s Style Magazine. And Culture (formerly Arts) better captures the expanding world of creativity and entertainment, from screens to stages and beyond.
Our research shows that nearly nine in 10 Canadians visit lifestyle sites, and more than three-quarters of our readers told us they want more of this content – whether it’s to live more intentionally, indulge their creative passions or just take a breather from the heavy news cycle.
Over the past year, we’ve made some significant investments in our life and culture journalism. We hired more dedicated editors, photographers and reporters so we could expand our coverage to include everything from online culture and how we eat, to streaming and wellness. We brought on more experts to offer advice on decision-making in our personal lives and relationships. Now, our website and apps reflect that breadth, with destinations as diverse and fast-moving as the world itself.
Take a look, explore, and let us know what you think.
