After a six-month hiatus due to a legal dispute, the Bent Inn & Lounge Bar, a popular LGBTQ+ destination owned by Greg Kafka and Mark Hunter, is set to reopen in Las Vegas in early April 2025.

The Bent Inn, owned by Escape Resorts, Inc., was the first adults-only gay/locally owned boutique hotel and pub in Las Vegas. Following a favorable court ruling and securing a major investor, the owners have refinanced their construction loan and are now set to reopen the establishment.

The Bent Inn & Lounge Bar aims to balance high-quality food, unique entertainment, and a comfortable lounge experience. Adjustments have been made to the original setup, including changes to the menu and seating configurations, to accommodate customer preferences and operational efficiency better.

The 33-room hotel will maintain its unique pulp fiction art, quirky touches, and comfortable beds, with added amenities such as desks and mini-fridges in the rooms facing the pool. Additional enhancements include the incorporation of more greenery and cabanas in the pool area, as well as the introduction of community art.

Hunter and Kafka’s vision for the Bent Inn is to create a safe and welcoming space for everyone, especially the LGBTQ+ community. Located off the beaten Strip and steps from the Fremont Street Experience, the Bent Inn aims to provide a local adult LGBTQ+ experience for its clients.

As part of the reopening, Bent’s popular manager, Shane Petersen, will return alongside Hunter and Kafka. Petersen’s leadership and energy were key in making Bent Las Vegas a success. Additionally, bartender Timmy O’Connell will step into a new role as the bar’s assistant manager.

The Bent Inn offers a range of room types, including king-size bedrooms and a 3-room bunkhouse for solo and hostel-style travelers. All rooms feature luxury amenities such as 65″ flat-screen Smart TVs, luxury brand bath products, in-room electronic safes, and individual room heating and cooling systems.

The hotel’s resort fee includes overnight off-street parking, high-speed Wi-Fi, and pool, spa, and garden use. The property also offers an expansive heated adults-only swimming pool with in-pool seating, poolside chaise lounges with umbrellas, and an oversized outdoor heated spa.

Bent Inn has a rich history, transitioning from a small hotel called the Moonlight Motel in 1965 to an apartment complex, and now a boutique hotel. The property has been reimagined with a “mid-century meets industrial architecture style,” and has won the mayor’s award for design. Its artistic features are inspired by the ’50s-’60s gay pulp fiction, offering an attitude of flamboyant mischievousness.
