The drama intensified in Week 2 of Project Runway Season 21 as the designers were thrown into a formidable team challenge. The task seemed simple on the surface: take “boring” everyday fabric and, as host Heidi Klum instructed, turn it “into something beautiful.”
The stakes were raised to superstar levels with an incredible added prize: the winning design would be custom-made and worn by Hollywood icon Sofia Vergara. With Ethan and Jesus chosen as team leaders, the workroom was split into two houses.

Who went home on Project Runway Season 21 Week 2 tonight?
Alex Foxworth
Fans asking who went home on week 2 ofProject Runway Season 21’s tonight got a dramatic answer, complete with one of the most blistering critiques of the season.
Week 2 kicked off by resolving the cliffhanger from the previous week, confirming that designer Alex Foxworth from the former House of Burn was the one sent home.
However, the real fireworks happened after this week’s denim and wool team challenge. Following a disastrous runway presentation, the entire House of Ethan landed in the bottom. While team members Joseph and Yuchen were declared safe, their fellow designers Joan, Angelo, and team leader Ethan had to face the judges’ fury.
Returning judge and celebrity stylist Law Roach did not mince words. He expressed his frustration with team leader Ethan’s design, believing it took too much direct inspiration from his drag career. “I’m really disappointed in you,” Roach stated bluntly.
His anger then boiled over, aimed at the team’s entire collection of “ugly” denim looks.
“I am really pissed off about this collection,” Roach told the shocked designers on the runway. “I did not come to work and get this beautiful glam to look at a bunch of ugly [expletive] clothes. I’m sorry. I’m pissed off. I’m mad.”
Heidi Klum agreed with the scathing assessment, ultimately dismissing the team’s failed attempt to elevate the fabric. “It’s like a Project Runway denim costume party,” Klum admitted, cementing House of Ethan’s position as the clear losers of the challenge.
The losing designer will be revealed in Week 3.
What were the challenges on Project Runway Season 21 tonight?
As in Week 1, designers were divided into two teams: “House of Jesus” and “House of Ethan.” Instructions were to create a look from “boring fabrics” that actress Sofia Vergara would wear to a red carpet event.
