It’s about that time in The Great British Baking Show season when literally anything can happen. The number of contestants is dwindling, which means it’s only the cream of the crop left to compete. And that makes the stakes higher than ever. Meanwhile, judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood aren’t holding back as they create trickier and tastier tasks for the bakers to complete.
During the last episode we said goodbye to Nadia, a 41-year-old hairdresser from Liverpool, who was eliminated during the classic Chocolate Week. In this week’s episode it’s Pastry Week and everyone’s on edge trying to make sure their creations don’t suffer from the disastrous “soggy bottom.” Here’s how everything went down.

Who went home from The Great British Baking Show 2025 this week?
Nataliia
Despite being crowned the first Star Baker of the season in Week 1, Nataliia failed to impress the judges enough during Pastry Week to keep her in the competition.
Upon learning of her exit, the 32-year-old Ukraine-born office assistant was clearly emotional, but spoke fondly of her time on the show.
“Thank you so much,” she said. “I am proud of myself and I think my little girl will be proud and I hope I have made my country a bit proud of me. Oh my gosh, I think I am going to cry. I have met all these wonderful people, I love you guys you are all so nice. Oh, I am going to cry again!”

Who won Star Baker in Week 4 of The Great British Baking Show 2025?
Jasmine
For a third time this season, Jasmine is proving that she’s a force to be reckoned with in The Great British Baking Show tent as she’s made Star Baker yet again. In fact, the 23-year-old medical student from London seems to be almost unstoppable. While her winning streak took a week off on the last episode when Aaron was made Star Baker, Jasmine is clearly a competition frontrunner. But as we’ve seen in the past, things can change on a dime as the challenges get more intense.
What were the challenges this week on The Great British Baking Show 2025?
As it was Pastry Week, all three challenges revolved around (you guessed it) pastries.
In the first of three challenges, the Signature, bakers were asked to make savory plaits. This is where a puffy pastry wraps a tasty, savory filling that could include meat or vegetables.
Next, in the technical challenge, contestants were asked to make a traditional gala pie. And finally, for the showstopper, a sculpted tart was in order—complete with all of the intricate bells and whistles you’d expect from the talented bakers.
Who’s left on The Great British Baking Show 2025?
There are just six contestants left each challenging themselves and one another for the title of Britain’s Best Amateur Baker in 2025. They are:
Aaron
Iain
Jasmine
Lesley
Toby
Tom
