RIMAP Hospitality Services Inc, a Canadian hotel management company, has announced the opening of the AC Hotel by Marriott Ottawa Downtown on April 24, 2025. This development marks a significant expansion in RIMAP Hospitality’s regional operations, as the hotel is the first of three Marriott-branded projects in Ottawa.
The hotel is situated at 201 Rideau Street in Ottawa’s ByWard Market district, near the city’s major business, cultural, and entertainment venues. These include Parliament Hill, the Rogers Centre, and the historic Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The hotel offers 159 rooms, each designed with a minimalistic yet sophisticated aesthetic. Design elements include clean lines, calming colors, and contemporary art. According to Marc Varadi, President of RIMAP Hospitality Inc, the hotel embodies the signature AC Hotel experience of thoughtful design that enhances guests’ stay.
Guests will have access to various amenities, including EV charging stations, a pool, a sauna, and a gym. The hotel also features five naturally lit meeting rooms suitable for business events or social gatherings. Culinary offerings include a European-inspired breakfast at the AC Kitchen and craft cocktails and tapas at the AC Lounge in the evening.
