Accor has announced the signing of a new property, Swissôtel Shanghai Hongqiao, set to open in mid-2026. The hotel will cater to both business and leisure travelers in the Shanghai Hongqiao Gubei Business Development Area, located in the Caohejing Economic and Technological Development Zone.

This hotel will feature 249 guestrooms, including 62 Swissôtel Living apartments for extended stays. The prime location and excellent amenities are expected to appeal to many travelers, providing easy access to downtown offices, shopping, and entertainment centers.

“The Swissôtel brand is in high demand among travelers and hotel owners. Swissôtel Shanghai Hongqiao will be a great complement to Swissôtel Grand Shanghai in Jing’An,” said Gary Rosen, CEO, Accor Greater China.

The Shanghai Hongqiao Gubei Business Development Area is currently transforming with new infrastructure and amenities, making it an attractive commercial and residential destination. The Swissôtel Shanghai Hongqiao, located near the Caohejing Economic and Technological Development Zone and Shanghai Xinzhuang Industrial Park, will support these revitalization efforts.

Swissôtel is known globally for its commitment to sustainability, vitality, and purposeful living, which aligns with Gubei’s community values. The brand’s reputation is expected to draw visitors and boost tourism in the area.
