Accor has announced a partnership with Dangayach Group to establish two luxury hotel developments in Goa, India. The projects, scheduled for completion by 2030, include Raffles Goa Shiroda and Fairmont Goa Shiroda, extending Accor’s presence in India’s tourism market.
Raffles Goa Shiroda, set to feature 120 luxury villas across a 27-acre resort, will deliver Raffles Hotels & Resorts’ renowned service and charm. In contrast, Fairmont Goa Shiroda, a 400-room hotel located on a 56-acre property, will offer the distinctive service, public spaces, and locally inspired cuisine associated with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Both hotels will share a beachfront club.
Omer Acar, CEO of Raffles and Fairmont, expressed enthusiasm for this double-branded project, which he believes will enhance Accor’s luxury hospitality offerings in the region. He also praised the partnership with Dangayach Group, a well-established partner in the industry.
The two new hotels will offer a unique experience reflective of their respective brands. Guests can expect various facilities, including restaurants, bars, lounges, wellness and fitness centers, spas, pools, and retail outlets. Additionally, the properties will cater to events with their multi-purpose ballrooms, meeting rooms, and bridal suites. Raffles Goa Shiroda will feature signature amenities such as the Long Bar and Butler Service, while Fairmont Goa Shiroda will offer personalized experiences to mark guests’ special occasions. Both hotels will share a private beachfront club, providing a luxurious Arabian coast experience.
In line with Accor’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) guidelines, the development of these hotels will adhere to stringent sustainability standards, energy performance reporting tools, and third-party eco-certification.
Atul Dangayach, Managing Director of Dangayach Group, expressed excitement about the partnership with Accor. He believes the two new properties will redefine luxury in Goa and establish the region as a premier global destination for weddings, events, and leisure travel.
The state of Goa, known for its fascinating culture, tropical rainforests, and pristine beaches, is witnessing significant growth in its tourism sector. Accor’s regional expansion is a strategic approach to tap into this growth. The company, which already operates over 65 hotels in India, opened several new hotels nationwide in 2024, including Raffles Jaipur and Novotel Goa.
