Adele and Céline Dion Share Emotional Concert Moment and Fans Can't Hold Back Their Tears

Adele fans in the audience at her latest concert got more than they expected after a surprise appearance from a music icon.

The “Hello” singer is currently performing as part of her residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, and fans have traveled from far and wide to hear her sing in person—including someone who had a very strong influence on Adele’s career.

Fans were delighted when Adele, who was in the middle of singing “When We Were Young,” approached Céline Dion in the audience at her Oct. 26 concert.

Videos captured by fans show the “Rolling in the Deep” singer bursting into tears as she embraced Dion. The “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” singer then held Adele’s face in her hands, and tears were visible on Adele’s cheeks as she continued to interact with the crowd.

For her part, Dion appeared to get emotional as well, as one of the videos posted on social media shows her wiping tears away as well after the interaction. Moments later, Adele asked the audience to “give it up to Ms. Céline Dion.” They obliged, clapping and cheering for the “I’m Alive” singer who rose after a moment and waved at the crowd.

Fans on social media couldn’t contain themselves after seeing the videos, with one fan writing on X that the encounter “is everything I’ve been waiting for ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥.” Another fan agreed, sharing that they were “sobbing like an actual baby 😭😰😖.”

“My heart is exploding 🥹🤍,” said one fan, while another said that “Adele meeting Celine Dion is literally me meeting Adele.”

“Such an emotional and meaningful moment for both of these incredible women, for so many reasons, both spoken and unspoken. Truly beautiful 🥺🥹💙💙 #CelineDion #Adele,” wrote one X user.

In 2018, Adele took in a concert at Dion’s Las Vegas residency at the same venue, and gushed on Instagram about the experience. “Queen Celine! What a show, an absolute highlight of my life, thank you so much for the attention to your crowd and insane humor. Happy New Year lady x,” she wrote next to a close-up photo of a Céline Dion tour sweatshirt.

People reports that Dion shared the sentiment, also writing about the meeting on Instagram that while she “wasn’t able to do all my shows” she “was thrilled that Adele came to one of them… I love her so much!!”
