Sure, Taylor Swift can sing—but can she perform ventriloquism?
This is what Darci Lynne fans want to know after the America’s Got Talent winner shared a video on TikTok in which she performed a fan-favorite song from Swift’s 2006 self-titled debut album.
Some credit the now 19-year-old artist with renewing interest in ventriloquism after she used her skills in the performance art form to win Season 12 of AGT when she was only 12. However, as she told Parade during an interview earlier this year, Darci Lynne is trying to expand the talent set she has become known for.
“In my shows over the years, I sing solo and it’s just as fulfilling, and I love it, and so I’m hoping that once I get some music out, I can connect to people in that way, too, because it’s really fun,” she said.

A few weeks after the interview, the Little Big Shots shared her cover of the popular Swift song on TikTok. In the video, she sat on a set of steps while an acoustic guitar rested on one leg, and with her eyes mostly closed, she played Swift’s “Picture to Burn” on her guitar and sang along.

Dozens of fans left comments on TikTok praising Darci Lynne’s “beautiful voice.”
One TikToker applauded the AGT alum for being “so multi talented” while another commented, “not only does she have an amazing talent with the puppets, but her voice.”
“You sound so beautiful as a country star performing this song, Darci!!” one fan exclaimed.
“But can Taylor Swift do ventriloquist?? Don’t think so,” another wrote.
Some fans wondered whether Darci Lynne might use her singing chops to record her own music, while others urged her to further expand her competition show experience by trying out for American Idol. Overall, most fans agreed that she is “always amazing.”
“Love your talent,” one TikToker added.
