There’s a reason why Birkenstock clogs are a shoe that has never really left stores. These suede clogs are well-made and last a long time—plus, they’re comfortable and easy to slip in and out of. It’s just a good shoe for running errands, wearing to a farmer’s market and literally so many more things. It’s no wonder why so many retailers make lookalikes of it, considering the price and popularity. And this coming week, Aldi will have a pair of genuine suede clogs that look like Birkenstocks that are 12 times the price.

From Oct. 23 to Oct. 29, Aldi will sell their Royal Class/Serra Men’s or Ladies’ Genuine Suede Clogs for $12.99 in the Aldi Finds aisle of U.S. stores while supplies last. And just like we said, they look very much like Birkenstock clogs. They have a similar rounded clog front part with a strap that buckles on the side. They then have a cork footbed for comfort and what looks like grooves on the bottom for traction. These shoes also have genuine suede on the upper part to finish off the look.

Aldi’s site says that it’s a faux buckle detail, but it still adds to the overall style and design. The shoe is available in Ladies taupe (a khaki color) and Ladies black along with Mens black. The women’s clogs come in sizes 7 to 10 and the men’s shoes come in sizes 9 to 11.

Boston Soft Footbed Birkenstock, $160 at Free People and Birkenstock

Free People

As we mentioned before, these Aldi suede clogs are very similar to Birkenstock’s classic Boston Soft Footbed Birkenstock. They currently retail for $160 on Birkenstock’s website and other third party retailers like Free People. These buckles are real (you can use them to adjust how tight the upper portion is) but other than that, they have all the same things Aldi’s does. These clogs also have a rounded toe along with a cork footbed and textured outsoles for traction. The footbed also has a suede lining for extra comfort and the outsole is made of EVA making it “flexible and lightweight.” They also come in so many other colors and have the “Birkenstock” logo on the buckle.

Of course, an Aldi suede clog isn’t going to be on the same level as an actual Birkenstock shoe, just given the materials and price. But if you’re fine with lookalikes and like saving money, Royal Class Men’s and Serra Ladies’ Genuine Suede Clogs are definitely worth checking out!
