Aldi Is Selling $20 'Waterproof' Winter Boots Similar to an L.L. Bean Style 10x the Price

First, it felt like it was too early for apple cider and pumpkin-spiced things. Then it felt like it was too soon for fall sweaters and cozy blankets. But now we’re getting further into fall and closer to winter, and it’s starting to feel too early for winter boot conversations. But here we are, telling you that Aldi is going to be selling winter boots this coming week. While it’s hard to believe that the year is just whooshing by, it is good to be prepared. And if you don’t have good winter boots, this might be a good time to check them out. Plus they look similar to an L.L. Bean style 10 times the price.

From Oct. 23 to Oct. 29, Aldi is selling their Serra Ladies Winter Boots for $19.99. They’re a classic duck boot style: they’re waterproof with a rubber-like black outsole and bottom and a tan upper portion that’s a bit thicker at the ankle. In addition to looking waterproof, they are labeled as such and they have a “durable shell and outsole,” which you can see on the black part of the brown boot. This one is a lace-up boot and has a tab in the back to help you pull them on.

Serra Ladies Winter Boots, $19.99 at Aldi

The other pair under this listing is their grey option, which has more of a sneaker look rather than a winter boot or duck boot design. It’s most light grey with darker grey blocks at the front of the shoe and the back. They have a white outsole with a light green tread on the bottom. Both boots have “3M Thinsulate,” which helps keep your feet warm and come in women’s sizes 7 to 10.

These boots will of course be in the Aldi Finds aisles of their U.S. stores. And while the typical rule is that these items last while supplies last, Aldi’s site does note that, for these boots in particular, they’re “not available in all locations.” So keep that in mind going into the store next week.

Women’s Bean Boots, 8″ Fleece-Lined Insulated, $199 at L.L. Bean

As we mentioned above, the brown version of Aldi’s winter boots is similar to L.L. Bean’s Women’s Bean Boots, 8″ Fleece-Lined Insulated boots. They currently retail for $199 and come in two colors: tan with Bean Boot Brown rubber on the bottom, gum outsoles and red-black plaid lining & iron with black rubber bottoms, gum outsoles and slate plaid lining. The tan boots are the most similar to Aldi’s brown ones; they have a brown top, a darker bottom and that duck-boot appearance. These are a bit thinner at the ankle and have a more textured bottom. But both also are insulted.

While you shouldn’t expect L.L. Bean quality in $20 Aldi boots, their Serra Ladies Winter Boots are definitely worth checking out for their value and what they offer (waterproof winter boots)!
