During the cold and dreary months of winter, it’s sometimes difficult to stay warm (even when you’re indoors). Thankfully, there’s a cheap and effective solution! This coming week, Aldi is releasing a set of throw blankets that are super warm and cozy. As an added bonus, they’re incredibly similar to designer styles over 10x the price.

From Dec. 18-24, Aldi will be selling their Huntington Home Feathersoft Throw Blankets for just $15. They’ll be located in the Aldi Aisle section of their U.S. stores for a limited time only. With their unique and colorful designs, these blankets make excellent gifts to your loved ones (or even to yourself). At this price, though, you’ll need to act fast, as they are bound to sell out quickly during the holiday season.

Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Throw, $158 at Bloomingdale’s

Bloomingdale's

As we mentioned earlier, this Aldi blanket is very similar to the Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Throw. It currently costs $158 at Bloomingdale’s and comes in six different colors, including dove gray, stone, cream, graphite, indigo and midnight teal. Like the Aldi version, this blanket is made from 100% polyester and is machine-washable.

The biggest difference between these brands is their size and durability. In contrast to their cheaper counterpart, Bloomingdale’s throw is made from an easy-care fabric that resists shrinking, pilling and wrinkling (even after multiple washes). It’s also slightly narrower and measures 54″ x 72″. This isn’t a huge issue, though, as it still offers plenty of coverage for most individuals.

BrylaneHome’s Fleece Blanket and Throw, $69.99 (Originally $139.99) at BrylaneHome

BrylaneHome

Another product similar to the Aldi blanket is this Fleece Blanket from BrylaneHome. It’s currently on sale for $69.99 and comes in eight colors, including blue snowflake, deep purple snowflake, pine, blue, taupe and more. Like the Aldi brand, this blanket is made of 100% polyester, which means it’s machine-washable and super easy to clean. It’s also incredibly fluffy and features a sherpa-like quality that’s both warm and luxurious.

The biggest difference between these two styles is their size options. While you’re limited to a 60″ X 70″ blanket with the Huntington Home brand, BrylaneHome offers three separate sizes, including twin, full/queen and king (as it’s primarily geared towards use on a bed). It’s also worth noting that this product comes with a free matching throw for your couch, living room or recliner. According to its reviews, the throw is incredibly soft and lightweight. One reviewer, in particular, noted that it was “very comfy” and warm.

Even with these differences, though, Aldi’s $15 Feathersoft Throw is an incredible deal that’s hard to beat! If you’re looking for a quick and simple way to stay warm during the holidays (and beyond), this blanket is definitely worth checking out!
