‘Tis the season for candles. We’re at that point in the year where we go from the delicious scents of fall to the festive fragrances of Christmas and holiday candles. Plus, the some of the cutest designs can really double as festive home decor on top of helping your home smell great. And Aldi is dropping an adorable ornament-shaped candle this week that looks a lot like Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn and Nordstrom styles that are over six times the price.
From Nov. 20 to Nov. 26, Aldi will be selling their Huntington Home Metallic Holiday Candles for $8.99 in the Aldi Finds aisles of their U.S. stores. The candles come in two different shapes and two different colors: there are ornament-shaped candles and tree-shaped candles in silver and gold. There are also two scents: the gold ornament and gold tree come in “Apple, Raspberry & Cinnamon” and the silver ornament and tree come in “Cyclamen, Iris & Cedarwood.”

Huntington Home Metallic Holiday Candle, $8.99 at Aldi

The tree-shaped candles have four tiers, with the top two making up the lid; it is a 12.4 oz candle. The ornament-shaped candles are spheres with a flat bottom so it has a stable foundation. The bottom half of the candle is the candle portion with two wicks and the top half comes off as the lid; it’s 9.5 oz. Both shapes are made with a shiny material with stylish texture throughout.

Williams Sonoma Winter Forest Ornament Candle, $54.95 at Williams Sonoma

As we mentioned before, the ornament-shaped Aldi candle is very similar to Williams Sonoma’s Winter Forest Ornament Candle, which is currently $54.95 for the 8 oz candle and $79.95 for the 32.5 oz candle. Just the size alone, Aldi’s candle is most similar to the smaller Williams Sonoma candle. It has a similar design: it’s a sphere shape with a flat bottom and the top half is the candle lid.
Just like Aldi’s candle, this one has a faux hook attachment to really hit home the ornament look. This is a soy-blend candle made with essential oils and has a “custom blend of pine, cedar and cinnamon scents.”

Pottery Barn also has a similar candle: their Ornament Shaped Scented Candles start at $29.50 for their 2.4 oz version and $59 for their 21.9 oz version. The 2.4 oz candle is most similar to Aldi’s, though a bit smaller (and it’s a single-wick candle instead of two). The website says that it can burn for up to 15 hours (or more if you get the larger size).
These candles are made with soy and paraffin blended wax and are in a glass pot with 1 cotton wick for the small candle. It comes in the scents Aspen Pine (white with flowers on it), Fireside Cinnamon (red with white arrow patterns) and Frosted Peppermint (red and white peppermint candle striped).
ILLUME Mercury Basalm & Cedar Ornament Candle, $25.60-$32 at Nordstrom

And lastly, Aldi’s candle is very similar to the ILLUME Mercury Basalm & Cedar Ornament Candle, which is sold at Nordstrom for $32 (the Winter White Gold color is currently on sale for $25.60). It also comes in red and green and all three are 5.1 oz. The site says that it has a 32-hour burn time and is made with a “natural wax blend.” This candle has a very similar glass texture to Aldi’s as well, which makes for a gorgeous decoration in addition to being a lovely candle.
So if you’re looking for holiday-themed candles that are eye-catching and won’t break the bank, Aldi’s Huntington Home Metallic Holiday Candle shaped like an ornament is worth checking out (and maybe you’ll take home the tree version too!).
