Finding a fun accent piece for any room can feel like a little victory. Whether it’s a standout mirror or funky armchair, getting a stylish furniture item in your home can really bring a room together. And Aldi is dropping a new sherpa storage ottoman this coming week that can be that finishing touch you’ve been looking for. Not only is it chic and useful, but it also looks like designer styles that are up to 16 times the price.
From March 5 to March 11, Aldi is selling a SOHL Furniture Sherpa Ottoman for $34.99 in the Aldi Finds aisle of local U.S. stores (while quantities last). This ottoman is a classic mid-century modern design, with exposed reddish wood legs on the sides of a white, cylindrical ottoman. And as the name suggests, the main part of the ottoman has a white sherpa fabric covering it.

What really makes this ottoman stand out—other than just being pretty to look at—is the fact that it doubles as storage. The top portion is a lid that you can remove and access the large compartment located inside the main part of the ottoman. While we don’t have measurements, it looks pretty substantial and could definitely fit books, magazines or knickknacks you want to get out of the way.

Benjara Beige and Brown Polyester Round Storage Ottoman Medium, $587.88 at Home Depot

As we mentioned before, this Aldi ottoman is very similar to others out there, including Benjara’s Beige and Brown Polyester Round Storage Ottoman. The medium size available currently costs $587.88 at Home Depot.
The concept of this ottoman is very similar to Aldi’s: It has exposed wood legs that come up the sides of the cylindrical ottoman. Plus, it has a storage compartment, too, with a similar lid. The main difference is the fact that this doesn’t have a sherpa fabric covering it and it appears to be more squat (and most likely bigger) than Aldi’s.

George Oliver Orfalinda Wood Storage Ottoman, $80.99 at Wayfair

Aldi’s storage ottoman is also very similar to the George Oliver Orfalinda Wood Storage Ottoman, which is currently $80.99 at Wayfair. This is so similar to Aldi’s, even down to the shape and size (at least how it looks). The legs on this one are a dark brown instead of a reddish brown, but it has the same design and storage concept. Plus, it has textured white fabric that looks similar to the sherpa on Aldi’s. This George Oliver ottoman, though, comes in three other colors: green, yellow and brown.
So if you’re in the market for a new ottoman or accent piece for your living room or home, Aldi’s SOHL Furniture Sherpa Ottoman is worth checking out. With its added storage function and its price, it’s a pretty good deal.
