We’ve said this before, and we’ll say it again: having aesthetically pleasing storage boxes and bins makes organizing your house so much easier. When you can stylishly organize things, it makes it a bit more fun (sorry, we don’t make the rules). And Aldi’s upcoming storage trunk is not just large and useful but is so pretty to look at. Plus it is very similar to a Pottery Barn style that’s almost four times the price (and even a Walmart style that’s nearly five times the price).
From Oct. 9 to Oct. 15, Aldi is selling a Huntington Home Collapsible Trunk for $19.99 in the Aldi Aisle section of their U.S. stores (while supplies last). It’s beautifully handwoven with natural water hyacinth, which ends up making it look like a wicker trunk. It’s rectangular in shape, measuring 22 inches long, 14 inches wide and 13 inches tall. The top hinges up to open it up for storage and the sides have cut-out handles so you can easily lift it if needed.

Huntington Home Collapsible Trunk, $19.99 at Aldi

While Aldi’s site doesn’t state anything about its collapsible capabilities, it’s possible it can break down so you can store it even easier if you’re not using it. Regardless, the site does note that it’s “perfect in [the] family room, living room and other spaces.” Plus they note how great this trunk can be to store anything neatly and out of the way. This could be good for thinner blankets (or one big blanket), magazines, books, candles and more.

Hudson Woven Trunk, $79 at Pottery Barn Teen

As we mentioned earlier, this Aldi trunk is similar to Pottery Barn’s Hudson Woven Trunk, which is $79 on their Pottery Barn Teen site and store. It’s very nearly the same size as Aldi’s trunk, measuring 23.75 inches long, 15 inches wide and 14 inches tall. While it’s not woven or braided in the exact same way as Aldi’s, it does use water hyacinth to create the trunk.

Better Homes & Gardens Natural Water Hyacinth Storage Trunk, Large, $97 at Walmart
Walmart
Walmart also has a similar trunk with their Better Homes & Gardens Natural Water Hyacinth Storage Trunk in a size large, which is $97. It is slightly bigger than both the Pottery Barn Teen and Aldi trunks, measuring 30 inches long, 16 inches wide and 15.25 inches tall. But its woven sides are very similar to Aldi’s and it’s made up of natural water hyacinth as its name suggests. The lid is a little thicker—whereas Aldi’s thinner lid rests on top—but it is overall very similar to the Huntington Home trunk.
So if you’ve been looking for a stylish way to store things in your home, Aldi’s Huntington Home Collapsible Trunk is well worth looking at.
