Alec Baldwin’s eldest daughter, Ireland, is jumping on the latest viral trend which finds internet users—primarily young, left-leaning women on TikTok and X—joke about heading to the polls to cancel out their conservative fathers’ votes.
In a new upload to the video-sharing platform on Monday, Oct. 28, the 29-year-old posted a selfie showing her in a kneeling position on a beautiful oriental rug, throwing a peace sign at the camera. “Off to cancel out my dad’s vote 🦅🇺🇸,” she wrote in the caption.

Billy Joel’s “Piano Man” played in the background as the image changed to show a photo of her father dressed as Donald Trump in a screenshot that appears to have originated during a Saturday Night Live cold open, with the caption updating to read, “Just kidding… this is literally my dad.”
The clarification was a relief for many, who, knowing how open the actor is about his political leanings, originally read the joke as an endorsement for the Republican candidate.
“I was Gonna Say……WHA?” one replied, while another admitted, “I WAS SO CONFUSED 😂😂😂🥰.”
“You scared me for a second! 💙🇺🇸👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻,” another agreed, while a fourth admitted, “I had a mini heart attack for a second because I know who your dad is.”
“Whew,” they added.
“For a second I questioned which Baldwin brother your dad is again 😅,” another commenter joked, while someone else followed up to suggest that she might be canceling out her “uncle [Stephen Baldwin’s] vote maybe” instead.
