Alejandro Kirk returns to Blue Jays roster

TORONTO – Catcher Alejandro Kirk has returned from the Toronto Blue Jays’ 10-day injured list.

Kirk was out with a laceration on his left hand after being hit by a pitch.

The All-Star catcher will be in action tonight against the visiting San Francisco Giants.

Catcher Tyler Heineman made a similar move, with an option to become a triple-A franchise for the Blue Jays in Buffalo, New York.

Kirk is batting .253 with three homers and 21 RBIs this season.

Heinemann has batted .240 and stolen one base in various call-ups for Toronto this season.
