How the bank system works in Borderlands 4
You can only access the bank system in Borderlands 4 by finding and interacting with a bank machine. This system allows you to deposit and withdraw pieces of gear and guns for free.
While most of the time you want to sell the loot you won’t use, there are guns or other pieces of equipment that can be great in specific situations, so it’s good to keep them. At the same time, you don’t want to occupy slots in your backpack with guns you won’t use all the time. When this happens, you want to deposit the gun or equipment in the bank.
Another important use for the bank is to send guns and gear to other characters you have. In Borderlands 4, the bank is shared by all the characters in your account, which means that you might find a good gun for Vex, the Siren, while playing with Rafa, the Exo-Soldier. In this case, you would just need to put the gun in the bank, change characters, and withdraw it while playing Vex.
To increase the number of items your characters can put in the bank, you need to unlock more slots by using SDU tokens.
All bank locations in Borderlands 4
In Borderlands 4, there are four specific places where you can find bank machines. You’ll unlock them by progressing in the story. You can find banks in the these location:

The Launchpad
You’ll find the first bank machine in the game in the home of the Outbounders. It’s located inside the building where you find other services, like the vending machines.
Carcadia
The bank machine in Carcadia is located inside the main building. Once inside, turn left and head northwest. It’s beside the two vending machines.
Belton’s Bore
Navigating Belton’s Bore feels a bit confusing, but when it comes to finding the bank machine, it’s pretty simple. From the fast travel machine, turn right and go up the stairs. At the top, you will find the bank machine.
Bones of Sanctuary
Bones of Sanctuary is one of the best places to quickly reach the bank machine in the game. You find it in the outside area to the left of the vending machines.
