The Diplomat (2025)

Language: Hindi
Runtime: 132 Minutes
Director: Shivam Nair

Genre: Political Drama | Added to Netflix: May 8

The Diplomat is based on a true story from 2017. A woman comes to India’s Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan, begging for sanctuary. She claims to have been tricked into marriage, trafficked into the country, and abused by her new husband. When her identity checks out, the staff at the embassy have to figure out how to keep her safe until they can return her to India. This timely drama about the fragility of political negotiations between India and Pakistan is surprisingly tense for a film focused on bureaucratic minutia.

In Sikandar, Salman Khan plays a typical “Salman Khan” character: a man who solves his problems with his fists. When a tragic accident claims the life of someone close to him, he aims to ensure the well-being of the three people who received his beloved’s donated organs, no matter what it takes. Additional dialogue options — including a Hindi audio description track — can be found in Sikandar‘s audio menu.

Actor Karthi has a cameo in this movie as the character Veerappan — the protagonist of the upcoming HIT: The Fourth Case. None of the other films in the original Telugu franchise are streaming on Netflix, but Kolanu’s Hindi remake of HIT: The First Case is. Additional dialogue options are available in the film’s audio menu.
