Amadeus has acquired SkyLink, a New York-based technology company specializing in orchestration and conversational automation using artificial intelligence. SkyLink has developed a proprietary AI architecture and multilayer orchestration engine designed for integration with chat platforms, enabling users to book and manage flights and hotels through conversational interfaces.
The acquisition supports Amadeus’ strategy to deploy AI use cases across the travel industry, with a focus on scalability and operational deployment. SkyLink’s AI-native framework will complement Amadeus’ existing technology infrastructure, which operates in more than 190 markets and processes billions of search requests and millions of travel transactions daily.
SkyLink’s technology will be added to Amadeus’ product portfolio to assist travelers and employees, with an emphasis on corporate travel. This integration will enhance Amadeus’ solution capabilities for travel management companies and expand its customer base in North America.
Amadeus plans to extend AI-driven conversational capabilities beyond corporate travel, including applications for airlines, airports, hospitality, and other sectors within the travel ecosystem. These enhancements are intended to support travelers before, during, and after their journeys, and to allow travel providers to offer more responsive services.
