Angelina Jolie Looks Unrecognizable While Debuting Major Hairstyle Change

When most people picture Angelina Jolie, they probably imagine her with her classic straight brown hair, but recently, the movie star completely transformed as she rocked a new curly hairstyle.

The actress arrived at a screening for her new movie Maria on Saturday, Oct. 26, as part of the AFI Fest in Los Angeles, Calif. The movie tells the story of opera singer Maria Callas and is set to arrive on Netflix on Dec. 11.

On the red carpet, Jolie stunned in a long bronze dress with a black shawl over the top, but all eyes were drawn to her hair, which was parted on the side and fell in curls all around her face. She completed the look with a bright red lip. Last month, the actress tried out the same hairstyle for a magazine shoot, but she finally decided to bring it to the red carpet. 

Fans were floored by the look, with one taking to social media platform X to declare, “the mother of all mothers : angelina jolie.”

“angelina jolie please give me a chance,” asked another fan after seeing photos of her new look, while a third said, “leave it to angelina jolie to always SERVE!”

While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about her experience singing in the movie, Jolie said, “I think I did find my voice again…I felt like I opened up as an artist.”

“You wake certain parts of yourself up that I think are very important to, especially as you get older, you forget certain aspects of yourself,” she concluded.

Maria is Jolie’s first acting role since starring in Eternals in 2021. Along with her leading role in the upcoming film, Jolie also directed a new 2024 film called Without Blood, starring Salma Hayek and Demián Bichir.
