Anne Hathaway is reminding everyone that calmness goes a long way.

“You guys have got to relax,” Hathaway said, keeping her voice even. “You guys have got to relax. There are children on set today. Does everyone know that there are children on set? So everyone is going to relax, and we’re going to have a very nice day because we have children here. Thank you.”
The Oscar winner then turned and carried on with filming with a smile “— a moment fans online were quick to applaud.
“Amelia Mignonette Thermopolis Renaldi, Princess of Genovia,” one user commented, referring to her iconic role in The Princess Diaries.

A third noted, “That’s not a confrontation, that’s being a human and reminding others that they’re also human.”

It’s not the first time Hathaway has made headlines during production of The Devil Wears Prada 2. Earlier this month, cameras captured her taking a quick tumble while shooting a staircase scene in New York. Though she stumbled, the actress stumbled but never let go of the bagel she was holding — a detail that fans found charming. With a laugh and a reassuring “I’m fine!” to those nearby, she bounced right back and into her character, another clip that quickly went viral.
Fans can catch the highly anticipated film in theaters on May 1, 2026.
