The community unlock event is underway in Arc Raiders and players must pool together resources to restore the tunnels leading to Stella Montis.
For the first phase of the event, raiders will have to donate basic resources to unlock Stella Montis, the fifth map in the Rust Belt. In return, players will earn merits, which is an event currency used to unlock rewards. However, as it’s a multiphase event, there will be more objectives to complete once the community has progressed through each phase.
After the community has donated enough resources, phase two, “Staking Our Claim,” will begin with a new progression track featuring rewards and challenges.
Here’s everything you need to know about the community unlock event including how to progress and where to spend your merits.
Phase 1 — Breaking New Ground
For the first phase, “Breaking New Ground,” players will have to donate basic resources to rebuild the tunnels to Stella Montis. You can donate the following items:
- Metal parts
- Fabric
- Plastic parts
- Rubber parts
- Chemicals
As you donate resources, the community will be one step closer to unlocking Stella Montis and you’ll earn merits, which are an event currency that can be used to unlock rewards in the next phase. For each five resources that you donate, you’ll earn 20 merits, but you can only earn up to 900 merits (at least during this phase). If you don’t want to do the math, you’ll need to donate a total of 225 resources to hit the cap.
However, this doesn’t mean that you should stop donating resources. You’ll stop earning merits, but your donations will lead to Stella Montis unlocking faster for the entire community. If you’re worried about missing out on merits and doing your part, don’t worry as the progression rate has been moderately reduced. Raiders across the world banded together a little too strong as North and South American raiders almost missed out on the first phase altogether.
Phase 2 — Staking Our Claim
After the community provides enough resources, the second phase, “Staking Our Claim,” will begin.
