Since Arc Raiders launched over six months ago, there has been one quality-of-life improvement players have been requesting above all others: the ability to craft required resources directly from the same screen. It may sound like a minor change, but anyone who has tried to make a bunch of weapons in one go, only to have to jump back and forth between crafting mechanical components and gun parts will be jumping for joy. This change will reduce the time spent in menus, resulting in more visits topside.
“When crafting, raiders will now be able to fulfill missing materials directly, reducing time jumping between tabs,” reads the official blog post. “When materials are missing, raiders will be presented with a list of available sources, letting you recycle, refine, or purchase in a single window.”
The Flashpoint update is March’s big content drop for Arc Raiders, and streamlined crafting isn’t the only notable change. The Vaporizer is a big ol’ flying foe coming to the game, with “devastating laser attacks and idiosyncratic attack patterns.” It can reliably be found near Assessors.
What are Assessors, I hear you ask? They seem to be a new type of Arc probe, not hostile themselves, but they always come with a healthy Arc patrol, and they have some seriously good loot within. They can be found in Close Scrutiny, a new map condition that falls under a category called Arc Operations.
Looting Assessors is the best way to get the Dolabra blueprint, which is a new energy-based shotgun with two firing modes: wide burst or focused funnel. There’s also the Canto, which is a medium ammo-based SMG, and the Surge Coil, a device that periodically emits an electrical charge, “shocking anything that drifts into its orbit.”
As speculated, Shredders are leaving Stella Montis, and they’re coming to every other map in the game during specific map conditions. There’s also a brand-new project, High Gain Antenna, and some changes to Scrappy the rooster. The Arc Raiders Flashpoint release time will be here tomorrow at 4:30 a.m. EDT.
