Ariana Grande is reaching out directly to Elvira, Mistress of the Dark after the Halloween icon alleged that the pop star snubbed her in a public way.
As previously reported by Parade, Elvira told an audience at a Q&A session at Knott’s Scary Farm, the seasonal Halloween event at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, Calif., on Oct. 18, that the singer ignored her request to take a photo together after bringing 20 guests to Elvira’s event.

Elvira told the story to the audience after she was asked about negative celebrity encounters and one person in the crowd shouted out “Ariana Grande.” The Halloween queen then detailed her version of events, saying “she brought 20 guests. So she wanted 21 tickets… and we gave her the tickets.”
She continued, explaining that after interacting with Grande’s guests, “I say to her ‘can we take a photo together?’ and she goes ‘no, I don’t really do that.’” She went on to explain that Grande “left before my show started and all of the relatives stayed.”

A fan account posted a video of a portion of the Q&A on TikTok. After Parade reported this story on Oct. 20, Elvira shared screenshots of the article on her Instagram page, prompting the singer to respond directly to Elvira on Oct. 21.
“i’m so disheartened to see this. i actually don’t even remember getting the chance to meet you because i had an anxiety attack and to my memory, left before the rest of my family (this was around 7 years ago and at the time i was really not great with being in public crowds or loud places)… but if i’m misremembering this moment, i sincerely apologize for offending you so,” wrote the “thank u, next” singer.
Grande then thanked Elvira for showing kindness to her mom, followed immediately by sharing that “she told me how lovely you were (she might have different feelings about that now but i’ll talk to her… clearly, we all have our days!) sending love always. ♡ you’ll always be our queen of halloween!”
Fans had strong reactions to Grande’s apology on Instagram, with some proclaiming their love for the pop star and writing, “ariana nooo :((( my love you don’t owe anyone anything pls” and “you’re way too nice Ari…we love you.” Many others took to the comments to say that they didn’t believe Elvira and thought she was telling the story for “clout.”
Meanwhile, others did not respond so positively to Grande, instead taking Elvira’s side and writing comments like “Why would Elvira Lie? The fans asked, she doesn’t need to gain fans off telling this story, she was simply just Telling the story 🖤🖤🖤🖤❤️🔥” and proclaiming their allegiance by writing,“Team Elvira forever 🖤.”
