Athur Masse Trial: Judge to make court ruling

A Winnipeg judge is set to rule Thursday in the trial of a retired priest accused of assaulting a woman who was a boarding school student more than 50 years ago.

Arthur Masse, 93, has been charged with one count of public indecency following an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse at Fort Alexander Residential School, located north of Winnipeg.

Plaintiff Victoria McIntosh, who was 10 years old at the time of the alleged incident, said Masse assaulted her in the bathroom.

Masse was indicted last summer and pleaded not guilty.

Masse and McIntosh were the only witnesses to testify at the trial.
