Hyatt Hotels Corporation and RJR Investments & Holdings Inc. announced that Atlantic Suites Hotel has joined the Hyatt portfolio as the first Hyatt affiliated hotel in Guyana. The existing hotel is expected to be integrated with a newly constructed adjoining tower in 2028, forming Hyatt Regency Georgetown Guyana.
RJR Investments & Holdings plans an approximately $50 million investment in the property, including development of the adjacent tower. The new building is expected to connect with Atlantic Suites Hotel through a pedestrian bridge. The combined property is planned to have 240 guestrooms and suites, a signature restaurant and market, a lobby bar, a rooftop bar, and meeting and event space.
Atlantic Suites Hotel is in Georgetown, Guyana’s capital and commercial hub, about 6 miles from Eugene F. Correia International Airport. The hotel has 80 guestrooms and suites, floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the Atlantic Ocean or Georgetown skyline, and a 24-hour fitness center.
Guests at Atlantic Suites Hotel also have access to amenities at the neighboring Pegasus Hotel and Pegasus Corporate Business Center, also owned by RJR Investments & Holdings. Those facilities include approximately 36,000 square feet of meeting and event space, six dining venues, Aura Sky Lounge, and an outdoor pool.
Following the planned 2028 transition, Hyatt Regency Georgetown Guyana is expected to serve business, leisure and group travelers. Atlantic Suites Hotel is not expected to join the World of Hyatt loyalty program until it transitions to the Hyatt Regency brand in 2028. At that time, members will be able to earn and redeem points for stays, dining and wellbeing experiences.
Hyatt Place Georgetown Guyana is also expected to join the Hyatt portfolio later this year. The property is planned to include 136 guestrooms, a rooftop bar, an outdoor pool and free breakfast.
