Casting Call: Immersive Murder Mystery Weekend

Location: Lake Louise Inn, Lake Louise, AB
Dates: Friday, May 15 – Sunday, May 17, 2026.
The Experience: We are seeking 6 versatile, high-energy actors for an immersive 3-day murder mystery weekend. Actors will be “in character” during all scheduled meal times, interacting with guests to drop clues, build tension, and provide entertainment.

Compensation & Perks
• Detective & Host: $500 flat fee.
• Suspect Couples: $250 per person ($500 per couple).
• Travel: Gas allowance provided.
• Stay: Full hotel accommodations included for the weekend.
• Meals: All meals served during the event are provided.

Character Breakdowns
1. THE LEAD HOMICIDE DETECTIVE (Lead)
• Gender/Age: Open / 30s–60s.
• Description: The “anchor” of the weekend. Authoritative, sharp-witted, and slightly world-weary. They must be excellent at public speaking and able to command a room during the “reveal” scenes. Strong improvisational skills are a must, as they will be questioning guests and suspects alike, continually.

2. THE EVENT HOST (Lead)
• Gender/Age: Open / 25s–50s.
• Description: The face of Murder Mystery Weekend™. Polished, overly friendly, and perhaps hiding a frantic energy beneath the surface. They keep the schedule moving and act as the bridge between the hotel staff and the mystery. Must be charming and high-energy.

3. SUSPECT COUPLE #1: “The Insiders” (2 Roles)
• Gender/Age: Open / 30s–60s.
• Description: A polished couple. Think “Old Money” or “Power Couple.” They are glamorous but clearly hiding a dark secret involving their finances or their past. They should be comfortable with dramatic “bickering” in front of guests.
• Sharing accommodations: Each actor must be comfortable sharing a room with their acting partner.

4. SUSPECT COUPLE #2: “The Outsiders” (2 Roles)
• Gender/Age: Open / 30s–60s.
• Description: A contrast to Couple #1. Perhaps they are “New Money” tech moguls, awkward tourists, or uninvited guests. High-strung, suspicious, or overly eager to please. Great comedic timing is a plus for these roles.
• Sharing accommodations: Each actor must be comfortable sharing a room with their acting partner.

Schedule Requirements
• Friday: Actors must be checked in and ready for a 1-hour rehearsal at 5:00 PM at the location. Script outline will be provided beforehand.
• Performances occur during:
• Friday Dinner
• Saturday Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
• Sunday Breakfast (The Big Reveal)
