General Auditions and Meetings are conducted to provide an opportunity for artists to audition, share their interests, and to be introduced to Artistic Director, Nikki Loach and to Drama Education Associate, Kathryn Smith.

The deadline to submit for auditions or request for a meeting is April 14, 2025.

WHO
Quest encourages all artists to explore theatre for young audiences as part of their ongoing practice. We are open to inspiration from any artist who is passionate about sharing their love of theatre with young people. We welcome artists of all races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, religious affiliations, and abilities, as these represent the audience we serve.

WHEN
Auditions and meetings will take place in-person between 9:30 am and 4:30 pm on Thursday, April 24 and Friday, April 25, 2025. Slots are 15 minutes in length and take place in the Quest Theatre Rehearsal Hall located at cSPACE Marda Loop, 1721 – 29 Ave S.W. Suite 325, in Calgary, Alberta.

HOW and WHAT
– If you would like to audition or meet, please send the following in an email to Artistic Director, Nikki Loach at artistic-director@.org. Please make the subject heading: Quest Theatre General Auditions and Meetings 2025. This request is useful as emails that do not have this subject heading can be missed.
Priority will be given to artists currently living in CALGARY.

PERFORMERS WITH AN AUDITION: Electronic theatre resume and headshot.

Please prepare two contrasting monologues that take no longer than 4 minutes together.

Pieces do not have to be TYA in content. Auditions are open to Equity and Non-Equity artists.

As Quest Theatre is a professional touring company, contracted artists must perform during the day and cannot be enrolled as full or part-time students as of September 2025. Auditions will be in-person.

Online auditions from Calgary based artists are possible by request but not preferred. No pre-recorded auditions will be accepted.

OTHERS WHO JUST WANT TO MEET: Electronic resume. A headshot or links to electronic examples of your work is optional. Please identify your area of interest.

Please be prepared to talk about yourself! Meetings will be in-person. Online meetings for
Calgary based artists are possible by request but not preferred.

*cSPACE Marda Loop has a ramp-accessed and button operated door at the Northeast end of the building, outside of which are accessible parking stalls. All floors can be accessed by elevator and there are accessible washrooms located on the 1st and 4th floors.
