2025-2026 GENERAL AUDITIONS
Alberta Theatre Projects and Vertigo Theatre will be holding joint General Auditions in Calgary on March 3, 4, and 5, 2025. March 3rd and 4th will be scheduled auditions arranged through submissions. March 5th will be an unvetted open call on a first-come, first-served basis. All auditions will take place at the Vertigo Theatre Rehearsal Hall (115, 9th Ave SE).
Representatives from each company will be in attendance. At this time, we are only accepting applications from artists who can make in-person auditions, with priority given to Calgary and Alberta locals.
TO PREPARE:
Please prepare two monologues totaling no more than 4 minutes. Monologues should be contrasting and showcase different sides of your artistic ability. Contemporary monologues are encouraged.

The deadline for submissions is February 2nd, 2025, at 11:59pm. Successful applicants will be contacted to schedule an audition time. Of the artists selected to be seen, Equity members will be given priority scheduling.
OPEN CALL:
March 5th will be an unvetted, open call from 9:30am – 3:30pm. Artists may arrive as early as 9:00am to add their name to the list for that day’s auditions. Equity members will be given priority for this open call.
Alberta Theatre Projects and Vertigo Theatre are members of the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres, and engage professional artists under the terms of the Canadian Theatre Agreement.
The audition space is accessible and barrier-free.
