Incendiary Playwrights Initiative – Audition Call
Incendiary Festival is looking for actors for a workshop reading in the Playwrights Initiative. We have a workshop reading of 2 plays taking place in August

The Initiative: The goal of this project is to give playwrights, actors, directors, and dramaturgs a chance to grow their skills, try something new, and make connections without the pressure or time commitment of a full production. We also want to connect with creatives who share our values and connect with our process for potential work on our full-scale projects in the future.

Throughout the season, we will be producing eleven readings of new works by Albertan playwrights. Each project is unique and focuses on experimenting with different storytelling styles. Depending on the show, preparations for the reading will include anywhere from one to four rehearsal dates, culminating in a performance to remember.

Whether you’ve always wanted to try your hand at acting but never have, or are looking for the perfect bite-sized project to fill out your packed schedule, this is an opportunity to try something new and connect with other creatives.

Incendiary Festival is incredibly passionate about working with performers of all ages, body types, ethnicities, and with folks with disabilities. If you are interested in the projects, we are interested in seeing you. Period.
